ABOUT US
Hale Husky Robotics is a high school robotics team based out of Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, WI. The team was established three years ago by a group of ambitious students and their advisor, Mrs. Donna Krasovich, with the goal of furthering the students’ knowledge of robotics, computer coding, and engineering through real life experience. Since that time, the team has participated in both FTC Robotics competitions and MATE Robotics competition, though the current team only participates in the latter.

The team puts in many hours, including Saturdays, to prepare for the yearly competition, starting in late September and running until competition time in early April. Although anyone can join the team, recruitment occurs for students who excel in the areas of computer programming, design, and engineering. The students on the Robotics Team are also devoted to their studies in school, and are often the highest-achieving math students in the building. Besides spending their time in the robotics lab, team members can be seen on the Math Team or the Science Olympiad Team.

Last year, the team took home the second place trophy at the Milwaukee Regional, coming in hot on the heels of first place, and almost making it to internationals. This year, the Robotics Team is ready to put their best foot forward and try again. The team is under the leadership of Mrs. Krasovich, a computer science and mathematics teacher at Nathan Hale, and three executive members, who coordinate and organize both physical work on the robot and electronic work on documentation. As a cohesive unit, the team is able to work together to build and market a robot suitable for underwater competition.
